Can I Ignore a Smoke Alarm That Keeps Chirping?
Verdict:
DON'T IGNORE
No. On most alarms a single chirp about once a minute means the battery is nearly dead, and an alarm with a dead battery is the same as no alarm at all. Change the battery tonight. If it still chirps, or the alarm is past 10 years from its manufacture date, replace the unit.
