Can I Ignore Water Dripping From My Exhaust?
Verdict:
YES
Yes. A small amount of clear water dripping from the tailpipe is usually normal, especially after a cold start, in cool or humid weather or after short trips. Burning fuel produces water vapor, and some of that vapor can condense inside the cooler exhaust system before draining out. If the car runs normally, there is no overheating warning and the coolant level is not falling, ordinary clear condensation does not need a repair. Persistent thick white exhaust, coolant loss, overheating or other abnormal engine symptoms are a different situation and should not be dismissed as condensation.
